"Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Mass Communication programme
provided me a solid foundation in the diversity of media
communications practices. The breadth of media knowledge
and practical skills prepared me for my graduate study and
moulded me into an all-rounded professional.
The cross-cultural and organisational awareness aspects
of the programme nurtured me to be an independent go-getter
yet instilling the importance of group diversity and managing
this dynamic. This helped me as I globe-trotted the world
in my international stints as a consultant, Internet journalist,
web developer, educator educator and new media specialist
across five continents (Asia, Africa, Europe, North America
and Australia/Oceania).
The inspirational teachers and friendships forged coupled
with my interest in communication have fueled a very strong
affiliation to the Polytechnic. So much so that, today,
I continue to voluntarily manage its alumni network and
also spent two years teaching at my alma mater" |
