I've just been through a helluva roller coaster ride - examining
online journalism and completing a thesis on it, is a meaner. I'm
glad to be back to a normal lifestyle.
The last few weeks have been equally tumultuous for the Internet
world. Good news for etoy - now that toy giant eToys has dropped
its lawsuit - http://rtmark.com/etoyprtriumph.html
AOL's merger with Time-Warner and their purchase of EMI brings the
net freedom vs corporate conglomeration debate to new heights. Who
knows what the future has in store now that an '800-pound AOL gorilla'
(as Salon's Scott Rosenberg calls it) can sit where it wants. One
thing's for sure, we shouldn't be hearing of any law suits since
they registered 21 variations of their domain name before this union.
A marriage of different sorts is ananova. The lassie is a triumph
in interactivity, virtual newscasting, and is yet another progressive
step on the Web. She's a cross between Carol Vorderman, Kylie Minogue
and Posh Spice. Ananova is the world's first virtual newscaster
that can deliver the latest news on the Internet 24 hours a day.

Forgive this over-indulgence on net journalism, its back to art
& technology then!
